December 11, 2009
Rush Limbaugh & Michael Steele join Tea Party Support (http://teapartysupport.com) and the Social Security Institute (http://socialsecurityinstitute.com) in demanding the Republican Senators do whatever is necessary, including the use of any parliamentary device available to them, to stop the Reid healthcare bill dead in its tracks. Rush Limbaugh questioned Senate Minority Leader McConnell’s strategy a few times on his program this week, joining TPS, SSI and a growing chorus of critics who say the Senate GOP leader is aiding Democrats by allowing the chamber to debate and vote on amendments.

“Stop Putting Your Christmas Vacation Ahead of Our Country”
December 8, 2009
Tea Party Support ( http://teapartysupport.com ) and the Social Security Institute ( http://socialsecurityinstitute.com ) joined forces yesterday to blast out a million-and-a-half email messages asking people to demand that Republican Senators stop assisting Harry Reid to ram ObamaCare and the Reid health bill through the Senate by year’s end. The email campaign has generated more than 25,000 letters and emails to Capitol Hill so far. Tea Party Support President Matthew Perdue said, “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is attempting to shove “Health Care Reform” down the country’s throat. He is trying to “fast track” this 2,074 page government takeover of our health care system.” SSI President Lawrence A. Hunter said, “The campaign continues today, and we won’t stop until Republicans get the message: ‘Don’t Put Christmas Vacation Ahead of Your Country.’”

Five-Day Bus Tour Across Montana, Wyoming and Iowa
For Immediate Release
Monday, August 17, 2009
Warrenton, Virginia (August 16, 2009)—Today, the Social Security Institute (SSI) joined with Patients First to carry an urgent message to three critical states: ObamaCare as originally conceived is dead, and the real danger now is ObamaCare Lite, which the Administration is trying to smuggle into law disguised as a “bipartisan compromise.” The purpose of the tour is to convince critical Republican Senators in these states that the time has come to abandon unrealistic and potentially dangerous efforts to negotiate a bipartisan compromise. Instead, the Congress should put consideration of major healthcare reform on hold for at least a year until the economy improves and the supercharged political environment settles down.

Today, The Social Security Institute (SSI) announces the launch of the National ObamaCare Opt Out (NOOO!) Registry a patient-centered movement designed to allow individuals to demand that Congress not force them to join a national healthcare system, nor to purchase healthcare coverage against their will. This online platform, located at http://www.patientoptout.com, is modeled after the National Do Not Call Registry, and will allow individuals to sign up on the National ObamaCare Opt Out (NOOO!) Registry.
SSI president Lawrence A. Hunter said, “We have created this Web 2.0 platform to allow people across the country to express their disapproval of President Obama’s decision to embrace an individual mandate that would prevent anyone from opting out of mandatory health coverage under his national healthcare system. This decision is a complete reversal from what he said during the campaign in criticizing Hillary Clinton’s healthcare reform proposal. It is now crystal clear that 'ObamaCare' has morphed into 'HillaryCare' version 2.0, complete with huge deficits, rationing treatment and coercive mandates."
